Mission

The mission of the 195th Army band is "To provide music throughout the full spectrum of military operations and instill in our Soldiers the will to fight and win, foster the support of our citizens, and promote our national interests at home and abroad." This mission may be slightly modified to fit the needs and exigencies of the State of Maine, by order of the Governor. The 195th Army Band promotes readiness by performing music. We provide music that promotes troop morale, unit esprit, and civil military operations. The Band provides music for troop gatherings and activities, military and religious ceremonies (IAW AR 165-1), civil affairs, disaster relief, and psychological operations. The 195th also performs for a broad array of community events such as "Home Days", parades, community concerts, commissionings etc.

You may request the 195th for your event by completing both forms located on the right side of the page. The 195th is free of charge to perform at your event but cannot perform at an event that charges admission.

The band is stationed in Bangor, Maine at BLDG 255, 28 Hayes Street. The 195th Army Band has performed across the United States with a focus on New England.

The 195th Army National Guard Band is comprised of musicians from all over the state of Maine. The 195th offers a wide array of performing groups, including a full concert band, marching band, brass quintet, sax quartet jazz combo and a rock group. Click the links below for more information.
