The Maine Select Funeral Honors Team honors Mike Edgecomb, Trudy DeBlois and Robert Gilbert of Time Warner Cable, "Maine Street Show".

Any person (Active, National Guard or Reserve) who received an honorable discharge is eligible for Military Funeral Honors.

The rendering of Military Funeral Honors for United States Armed Forces Veterans is a tribute that our Veterans and their families justly deserve and in fact, are entitled to.  Section 578 of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2000 requires the Department of Defense to provide, upon request, Military Funeral Honors for eligible Veterans.

The Maine Military Funeral Honors Program is in place and providing appropriate Military Funeral Honors to Maine's Veterans. Veteran's who did not receive appropriate Military Funeral Honors may also be honored.  This is often difficult for a family to bring up but the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program is prepared to honor those Veterans who were not properly honored in the past.

Veterans, families of Veterans, Funeral Directors and concerned citizens are encouraged to call Military Funeral Honors with any concerns or questions at 207-626-7822 or  frank.norwood1@us.army.mil.
