Maine Veterans Free Lifetime Day-Use Park Pass (Veterans)
The Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management shall determine eligibility, based on an examination of an individual's discharge certificate from active duty services, also known as the DD214, whether the following criteria are met: The person is a resident of Maine; and The person received an honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions. If you are a veteran that meets the above criteria and would like to apply for a park pass, the application can be downloaded at http://www.maine.gov/dvem/bvs/Park%20Passes.htm. The veteran must print, complete and return the application to the following address along with a copy of their DD214 and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Mail completed application to: Bureau of Maine Veterans' Services, 117 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0117

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard MWR/ITT office is allowing two locations in Maine to certify eligibility of individuals to purchase tickets.  This service will allow the purchaser to work directly with Portsmouth to purchase tickets via USPS, email and phone.  They will no longer have to go to Portsmouth to pick up tickets with one exception - California DisneyLand. The purchaser must complete the appropriate form  (Augusta or Bangor) and present it to the appropriate office.  The verifier will complete the form and send it to Portsmouth.  Please allow 48 hours for this to happen.  The purchaser may then contact Portsmouth MWR/ITT directly at 207-438-2713, DSN 684-2713 or by email jdurnin@navy.mil to purchase the tickets.
